By OLLY VAS

Portugal yesterday won both the Little League Baseball and Men's Softball International Competitions with convinc- ing wins in the finals.

In the Little League Baseball final between Portugal and Great Britain some fine pitching was seen from both win- ning hurler George Viera and Hiro Dayaram. Portugal won this match by 9-6, Viera striking out 17 batters and Dayaram 14. The only Great Britain player to get a hit off Viera was Danny Dayaram whose 'bouncer was be- yond the reach of the Portugal second-baseman Passos.
