The zamo WAS rather .dn anti-climax following the Army versus Recreio match and the standard of hockey was certainly not as good. The Macaenals forwards never rently got going as a line mainly due to the hard tackling of the Nav Bharat defence in which G. Pannu kept a very close rein jon J. Capitule.
The same applied to the Nav Bharat forwards as apart from one or two right-wing runs from Ling, their only really effective forward was Pat Gardner. Their goalkeeper Rahim,
promoted from their junior side, had an excellent game.
