France to withdraw from remaining bases in Morocco

France's remaining military bases in Morocco are to be evacuated by October this year, two years ahead of schedule, under an agreement between the two countries announced today.
Moroccan officials said the agreement followed an approach made to Pre- sident de Gaulle by Morocco's new King Hassan the second after his accession to the throne last week.
