United Nations, Feb. 9. President Moise Tshombe of Katanga has warned that any forced disarming of police and gendarmerie in his province would "provoke an exodus of the fully. employed workers,” and cripple indus trial production.

In a letter to Mr Dag Hammarskjold, U.N. secre- tary-general he also declared that the United Nations would find it very difficult to disarm "the rebels, outlaws and Lumumhist youth organisations."
