The lower levels reached yes

attributed to the terday were prominence of sellers seeking funds for the holidays.

Banks once again returned to prominence with a leap to $1,443 (closing rate), a gain of $30 on the previous week.

An exception to the upward trend were

the Coltons which were again slightly down in price.

Valume of busintes for the week under review (Friday lo yesterday) amounted to approxl- mately $23 million, compared previous with $18,020,000 the week.

Tuesday: Today's feature was the renewed interest in Bank shares which on intense competi tion rose to $1,400 with buyers still predominating. Rises were widesprend in all sections except Rubbers and Textiles. Wheolocka jose sharply, Docks, Talkoos, Lands following with sellers only at tempting offers. emerging Utilities were again sought after and Cersents also registered fur- ther gains. Altogether a very brisk market revealing a strong tone which shows no sign of abatement. Approximate turn- over was $0,470,000.00.
