POPPY DAY PLEASURE NEW SOUTH WALES TAKES
Combined Chinese and The Rest put on a first class show
By OUR FOOTBALL REPORTER
The Combined Chinese beat the Rest by three goals to two in the annual Poppy Day charity game played before 6,000 spectators at Boundary-street yesterday afternoon.
It was a bright, lively and interesting encounter and, with just a little bit of luck, the Rest might well have achieved the draw which their wholehearted efforts deserved.
