MANY articles have appeared in your Club's column and I find that they are interesting and most of them well-written. Therefore I'd like to be a member. As I myself am interested in writing in all forms, I sincerely hope that I may be one of your many enthusiastic and active members, cantibuting articles and taking part in all possible contests and games in the nÉLT future. There is nothing less lenient than the fire well-defined rules of your Club, but it is poignant to observe that the age of· one should decide membership. I am at a low to understand this is the member still considered a member if he has passed the age of 21?—Iqbal Hoosen, Hongkong.
Welcome to the gang, Iqbal, and we're looking forward to seeing your name on this page as a regular contributor." This Chub caters to young men and women between the ages of 17-21, and those over 21 are not eligible.
ABOUT a month ago we sent you two application forms for membership. But in the last four weeks we could not, find our names in the "Meet the Members” column, We wonder why! There is no reason to disqualify us. We are both 18, students and are Chinese. Were we disqualified just because we're Chinese? Anyhow, we apply again, and this time we hope we will be ab- cepted. Roger Pang and Patrick V. Ho, Hongkong.
Well, your names have been added to the fast-growing regi ter of members, chaps. We regret not being able to enrolt you before this, but we did not receive your applications. Are you sure you mailed them? Alternatively, did you address them correctly? As for your remark that you were not accepted because of your race, all we have to say is that 95 percent of the 17-21 Club's member- chip is Chinese.
I
AM interested in the pages set aside for the younger set; and hereby send in my application for membership. I hope that in future more articles from members will be published.—Jonathan Maa, Kowloon.
