Recital date Portuguese National Day
The piano recital which was to have been given by Miss Mimi Chow at Loke Yew Halt last evening has been postponed to Wednesday next. The net proceeds from the concert, in which Miss Chow is to play with the Hongkong Philhar monic Orchestra, will be „devoted to relief of the victims
of Typhoon Mary.
Bazaar postponed
Because of typhoon damage 10 its buildings and a landslide in the playground, the Salesian School at Shauklwan has post- poned the bazaar it was to have held on Sunday until Sunday, June 19.

Typhoon Mary was not more than a tropical storm when it passed 10 miles south of Macao just after mid- night today.
Eleven and a half inches of rain were reported.
The Governor of Maçao made an inspection tour this morning.
