Thousands of doctors are now being asked to find out just how widespread this | "disease" is. Its causes are obscure. Its symptoms only occur when the legs are rest- ing-as in a cinema, or par- ticularly in bed.

The probe is being carried out by a large medical survey unit. A recent survey, in Sweden re- vealed that five per cent of the population was suffering from leg-Hitlers.

It is not a serious complaint. But it can be painful. Often the only way to get relief at night is to climb out of, bed and walk.
