New I. D. card scheme Government

starts on Wednesday

The scheme for the gradual re-registration

of the entire population of Hongkong | for the issue of new-type identity cards begins on Wednesday, June 1, accord- ing to a proclamation in the Government An Gazette today.

The Gazette also contains two orders made by the Officer Adniinistering the Government calling upon certain categories of residents affected by the scheme to register, or be re-registered.
