A sharp recovery in gold shares after yesterday's heavy fall and distinctly dull conditions in in- dustrial equities provided the chief features of the London stock market today (Thursday).

Gold shares fuctuated in very! sensitive conditions during the morning but went ahead later on Continental and Johannesburg buying and the leaders closed Kalna. with some substantial Diamondka rebounded

sharply and coppers recovered from dull opening but tin shares were cosier.
