Erland Kops of Denmark, the 1958 winner, smashed his way to the final of the men's singles with a crushing 15-5, 15-3 victory over Thanoo Khajadphai of Thailand in the All- England Badminton Championships at Wembley tonight. The Dane, brilliant overhead, produced every stroke in the book with immaculate ease and Khajadphai, who appeared to be suffering from nerves, had no chance.
The other semi-final was won by Charoen Waltonassin of Thailand, the favourite, who beat Finn Kobbere (Denmark) 15-11, 15-0.
