Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had to leap from the official car carrying President Eisenhower, climb into a police jeep and personally guide his American visitor safely through a massive traffic jam today.

The incident occurred as the Prezident and Mr Nehru were driving in from the airport to the centre of Delhi to the cheers of more than a million Indians who gave the President the most welcome ever д- motional corded anyone in this country.
