New Delhi, Dec. 9.

Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had to leap from the official car carrying President Eisenhower, climb into a police jeep and personally guide his American visitor safely through a massive traffic jam today.

The incident occurred as the Prezident and Mr Nehru were driving in from the airport to the centre of Delhi to the cheers of more than a million Indians who gave the President the most welcome ever д- motional corded anyone in this country.

At one point when the pro-

U cession was jammed by swaying crowd, Mr Nehru slood high in the back seal of the official car and saw that the getting out of situation was control of the police.
