FUSILIERS AGAIN FAIL TO

TURN MATCH Fight By RAF
Wanderers Given Hard Fight By
Little Sai Wan Before Winning 13-8
On Friday evening the Hongkong Rugby Union discussed, among other things, the failure of rugby XV's to turn out for their fixtures, while at the same time failing to let anyone else, with the possible exception of their opponents, know that the game had been cancelled. The HKRU agreed that this sort of thing must cease and that áll XV's must play as specified in the fixture list,
And then on Saturday afternoon, the 1st Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, a team which has been found guilty of this behaviour before, failed to appear at all, without any warning to the referee or their opponents, the 32nd Medium Regiment.

Mixed Hockey Played At Little Sai Wan
An enjoyable mixed hockey
maich was played at Little Sai Wan yesterday. The two teams were made up of members of the Gremlins ladies hockey team and the RAF each side consisting of five ladies and six of the 'stronger sex'.
In the first half the "Colours" were on top and scored twice through Petrie, the second goal going through the goalkeeper's | legs.
The second half saw the "Whites" coming back into the game and they drew level, with roads from Gregory and Evans, Evans' goal being an excellent shot off the back-stick.
Throughout the match, tack- ing was hard and a 2-2 draw was just about a fair result. All the players thoroughly enjoyed themselves and organisers of the match are hoping that more mixed matches" will follow this
The teams in yesterday's match ware:
Whites: P. Matthews, Б. Frampton, H. Patterson, Jeynolds, J. Hall, R. Eddy, D. Murphy, R. Gregory, C. Davis,
R. Evans, P. Whittaker,

Colours: B. Miller, K. Foulds, N. Kressweller, B. Hall, M. Wallace, Harper, S. Talati, R. Petrie, D. Connick, L., Watts, C. Reynolds.

The Empire Games held in Cardiff lust year made a profi of 235,000 and this aum is to be invested to enable a Welsh team to be sent to Perth, Aus- tralia in 1942. To send a re- presentative teom of about twenty another £5,000 will sl be needed in addition to the interest on the investment. 1 -*-Hanowe, Servion
The first score came after steady' RAF pressure, which incidentally never looked like producing a try, when the Wanderers were penalised for
