Two of the four events in the Colony men's lawn bowls open championships were decided yesterday at the Kowloon Cricket Club before an appreciably largo crowd. Displaying even better form than they did in their last few matches, the Craigengower four of P. Manson, A. M. L Soares, A. E. Coates and G. A. Souza annexed the rinks title with a 22-17 victory over Recreio's G. Guterres, C. A. Noronha, C. P. Basto and C. E. Roza-Pereira in the final.

The Soviet Union beat Britain by 205 points to 130 in the combined scoring for the men's and women's two-day international athletics match ending here today.
Russia won the men's events by 120 points to 95
and the women's 76 to 41,
Russia scored the meeting ex one: match, while Britain treated the men's and women's events as separate matches.
The Russians won 15 of the 21 men's events and nine of 11 women's events.

Three W. Indies Cricketers In Car Collision
Darlaston, Sept. 6. Three West Indian cricketers were taken to hospital this morn- ing after their car had been in a head-on col-
ten-ton lision with a cattle wagon on the main London road here.
They were Garfield Sobers, Collie Smith, and Tom Dewdney, Dewdney was the most seriously hurt, sustain- ing face injuries and a Auspected fracture of the skull.
Smith had back in- juries while Sobers, who was driving, es- caped with cuts and bruises. They were taken to the North Staffs Royal Infirmary at Stoke-on-Trent.
The driver of the cattle" wagon was un- injured-UPI.
