One of the top sporting events la the Colony during the annual Tao fourth pant week

the Htandard-Sing was walkathon, which was held on Saturday. More than 400 com- petitors took part in the gruelling wall of 43.6 miles aroun the island.

Top photo shows a group of the competitors at the start of the event, Khown below are the eventual winners, Twenty-year-old student Chol Lee-keung (left) improved on his last year's winning time by almost an hour in winning the walkathon for the second time in 7 hrs 14 mins 57 sees. Factory worker Chow Lai-ping (right) also repeated her last year's triumph by winning the women's event in the time of 5 hrs 47 mins 45 secs.-China Mail photos.

In the opening match of their Hongkong tour last Monday at the South China Stadium, the Dons beat an All-Hongkong team by 75-41.
