9TH (ANNUAL) RACE MEETING Saturday 28th February, Wednesday 4th and Saturday 14th March, 1959

(To be held under the Rules of the Hong Kong Jockey Club) THE PROGRAMME WILL CONSIST OF 30 RACES. There whi he 11 races on each of the 1st and 2nd days and Braces on the 3rd day,

The first bell will be rung at 11.30 am, and the first race run at 12.00 Noon on the 1st and 2nd days. On the 3rd day the first belf will be rung at 1.30 pan. and the first race run at 2.00 p.m.

The thin interval is after the fourth race (1.30 p.m.) on the 1st and 2nd days.

The Secretary's Ollier at Alexandra House will close al 10.00 a.m. on the 1st and 2nd days and at 11.45 am. on the 3rd day,

Internationa Football Federation instead of to the Italian Committee through their respective national Olym- pie committee, as ripulated b the regulations but it was ex- pected here that eight of them would be accepted.

There were: Argentina, Brazil. Hire, Ismael, Mexico aud Peru, Cyprus and the Sudan also entered their names but as they have not yet reached the Olymple commit tees, It is expected that their candidatures will be rejected.

Admission Badges at $10.00 (ach per day are obtainable priori Dutch Wadi to the Meeting from the Club, Cash Sweep Olees, at Queen's Nathan Road, Building, Chater Road, D'Aguilar Street and Kowloon, only in the written introduction of a Member, and on production of his Guest Rerond Card. Members are imited to 0 guests each Tace Day, and will be responsible for a guests introduced by them.

GUEST BADGES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE RACE COURSE ON RACE DAYS.

Tifils will be obtainable at the Club House if ordered in their entries a little inte advance from the No. 1 ley (Tel. 72811).

The 6th Floor is redricted to Members, and Ladles wearing Lady' noeber.

NO CHILIWIEN will be witted to the Club's premises during the Meeting. For this purpose a Child is a person under the age of seventeen years, Western Standard.

PUBLIC ENCLOSURE

The price of admission will be $3.00 each per day payable at the Gate,

Any person leaving the Enclosure will be required to pay the requisite for ut $300 in order tu gain re-admission.

MEATS and REFRESHMENTS will he obtainable in the RESTAURANT.

SERVANTS

Servants must temala in their employers' boxes except for passing thraigh on their duties. They may on no account use the Belting Booth or Far Out Booths in the Enclosures.

The Third day of the Meeling previously advertised for Saturday 7th Merch has been postpaired to Saturday 14th March, and all Cast Sweep tickets dated 7th March 1959 will be valld for the Me Ung on 14th March, 1959,

Although Through Tickets cannet ermally be purchased for cnch day of a Meeting unless there is an interval of at least five days between each day an exception is being made for the Annual Race Meeting Through Cash Sweep tickets, therefore, at $22 each per day for the 1st and 2nd days and $10 for the 3rd day. or $60 for the three days of, the Meeting may be obtained from the Cash Sweep Offees at Queen's Building (Chater Rond) and 5. D'Agular Street during normal office hours and until 10.00 am. on each day of the Meeting.

The Hongkong Jockey Club Annual Race Meeting will start tomorrow and continue on Wednesday, March 4, and Saturday, March 14, 1959.

The programme will consist of 30 races. There will be 11 races on each of the first and second days and cight races on the third day,

The first bell will be rung at 11.30 a.m. and the first race run at 12.00 noon on the first and second days. On the third day the first bell will be rung at 1.30 p.m. and the first race run at 2.00 p.m.

The most interesting events tomorrow besides the Juckey Cup, Chinese Club Cup and the Sports Club will be the three sections of the Hopeful Stakes. These event will introduce the ni w Australian Subscription ponies to the public.
