It is just over 50 years ago that this Colony, was honoured by the visit of his ilustrious forebent. H.R.H. the Duke of Connaught, and your readers will recall that apart from Con- naught Road having been named after him, hin Royal Mother, Queen Victoria, perpetuates the name of our City.

Mr Mhodonald cald he had been to Australls to attend a conference of the Australian Politeal Science Institute, and was now on his way back to America.

In Singapore, Mr Macdonald held talks with the Malayan Chief Minister and Minister for Labour, Mr Lim Yew-hocks, where they discursed labour conditiona in Singapore and Malaya.
