The quarters will consist of Ave eleven-storey blocks, form- ing a U-shape building. The site, which will occupy about four acres of land, will be bounded by Cheung Sha Wan Road on the north and Tonkin Street on the east, where the main entrance will be located.

In addition to the quarters, there will be a primary school, a medical clinle and a guard- house.

There will be a total of 826 self-contained flats, each with lavatory, open private kitchen, verandah and space for drying clothes.

The school will be of the standard 24-classroom type, housed in a five-storey building constructed in the open com- pound formed by the U-shaped quarters. The school will pro- vide accommodation for 1,080 pupils a session.

Tenders for the .construction of the new Police quarters are called for in today's Govern- ment Gazette.

Cotton Export Regulations

The Government this morning released new regulations governing the export of Hong- keng-made cotton products to the UK.

The regulations provide that with the exception of yarns end threads, sacks and bags, stock- ings and sucks, knitted clothing, gloves and footwear, ilcence will be required for the export of any cotton manufacture.

The regulations come into effect on February 1, and are current unul January 31, 1802
