Unlike some other broadcasters, who seem to have done practically every job there is to be done, Tim Brinton has concentrated, for most of his working life, on the entertainment business. Leaving school, where he was acutely unhappy (this was
the fault of the educational establishment involved. which was just As not ignared for greasepaint) he had a short time in the Army and then, National Service over, he started serious work learning how to be an actor at the Central School of Drama in London, so that when he achieved his ambition of becoming a film director, he would know something about the actor's trade.
