CONFERENCE
The Conference Lines wish to drast Shippers' attention to revisions in the Tariff Forward Booking Rules which como into effect on 1st January, 1950.
While full details of the revised rules can be obtained from Lines/Agenty, the main alteration is that apart from certain exceptional circumstances, increases in most direct and transhipment rates appeating in the Conference Tariffs from Hong Kong and Shanghai/North China Port will only take effect after the expiry of the current and two following months from the date when the increased rate is fixed.
The Lines feel sure these new arrangements will facilitate trading operations.
