GENE TUNNEY ON

ARRIVAL IN LONDON

By DEREK JOUN

London, October.

A human battle-cruiser has arrived in London from New York this month: Gene Tunney, ex-heavy weight champion of the world, now a prosperous business man.

Five months ago he had a kidney stone removed. But today, at 61, he looks remarkably fit. His hair is only slightly grey, his fighter's face unmarked. He weighs a little over 15 stone compared to 13 st 5 lb. when he was world champion.

When Tunney left the ring in 1928 he was worth, he saya, 130,000

CANON'S NEW MODELS FEATURE NEW LIGHT METER

Canon Camera Company, Inc. placed its distinctive, new, easy-to-operate new models on the market today.

Named the VI-T and VI-L, they feature a new Canon-Meter synchronized with the single-pivot, rigid shutter dial, which is detachable for use separately. An incident light attachment is included and a booster is available. Canon's bright-line framed, tri-position range viewfinder with its exclusive Mg position has been improved.

1. Set the apertura scale.

2. Face the camora at the object to be photographed. 3. Turn the shutter dial which matches the sporturo reading on the meter to the neodlo—the shutter speed is then automatically sct.

4. Press the shutter roloase button,

In addition to the new Canon-Meter, the VI-T and VI-L models feature all the high-quality, precision features which have made the Canon name world. famous.
