In recent months there has been much activity on the grubby plot of land that passes for the official playing field of the Hong Kong Softball Association.

The recently concluded Summer League competition and the .strenuous practice sessions by various hopefuls for the 1958/59 season have aggravated the treacherous conditions underfoot at King's Park where work on a Government project is being carried on without respite.
