Sloan
The finishing touches are now being made to a modern new
floating restaurant at Aberdeen..
The exterior design has been taken from the famous Marble
Boat in the Summer Palace in Peking.
The kitchen is fitted with modern equipment, but the designers decided to
retain the old Chinese method of cooking with coals.
It will be known as the "Sea Palace" and. will bring up the mumber of floating restauran's in Aberdeen to three. The others are the Yu Laf Tal, which is about six years old, and the Tul Pak, wich has been in Aberdeen for four years.
The Sea Palace which was recently, complete and towed over to Aberdeen by two tugs is much larger than the other two, and was designed to cater mainly for the tourists. Aber- deen has long been a high spot trip's around the in tourist Colony.
