The Full Court this morning dismissed
an appeal by two 19-year-old British soldiers against their convictions and sentences for robbing a taxi driver.
The soldiers were Coliny-Walker and Vincent Brian Bell, both bandsmen of
the 1st Bn The East Lancashire Regiment.

$4 MILLION TENDER FOR KOWLOON HOSPITAL
The award of several big tenders by the Government was announced in the Gazette this morning. The International Engineering Limited, have been awarded the tender worth $4,279,000, for the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refri- gerating services for the new Kowloon Hospital, Gammon (Malaya) Limited were awarded the tender for the site formation in the Lancashire Road area in Kowloon worth $1,293,180.
The tender for the building of the new Caine Road Government School was awarded to the Sang Hop Construction Company, worth $1,128,419. The Pacific Islands Shipbuilding Company Limited have been awarded a Government tender, for the building of two aleel 100-ton refuse barges. The building of the barges will cost $296,154, plus
$32,000 for zinc spraying.
