Last night in Loke Yew Hall, there was undoubted- ly heard some of the finest music ever 'per- formed in Hongkong, when the Amadeus String Quartet gave the first of their two recitals. These players, in their 10 short years as a quartet, have acquired a world-wide) reputation, great things were expected of them, and they more than came"up" to thoseĮ high expectations. It was a magnificent treat to listen to them.
