Singapore Sets Asian Games Qualifying Standards

The Singapore Olymple Sports Council hos decided that only athletes and swinuners who have a chance of getting into the first six places will be sent to the third Asian Games Of Tokyo next May.
In previous Asian Games, and Olympics the policy was to rend uthletes and swiminers to gain experience."
At a meoling of the selection committee, Chairman Soli Ghee-soon proposed that the qualifying standard laid down for the Tokyo Games should at least correspond to the per- formances which won fourth pices at the Second Aslan Games held at Manila in 1964. In some cases, he added, it would be necessary to set even 10 higher qualifying standards keep pace with the general im- provement in Axon standards,

Admission Badges at $10.00 each per day are obtained from the Club's Cush Sweep Office, at Queen's Building, Chater Road and 382 Nathan Road only on the written introduction of a Member. who will be responsible for all visitors introduced by him.
