dent Federation of Malaya, warned Chinese students in the country that his Government would not tolerate any trouble-makers, and would not hesitate to take "appropriate action” to wipe them out. Inche Mohamad Khir bin Johari said it had come to his knowledge that certain groups of students were planning a strike on a country- wide scale intended as a protest against the .Government's plan to enforce age limits in

schools.

"I should like to warn such students," declared Inche Johari, "that the Government has, no time or place in Malayan schools for trouble- makers or for people engaged in un-Malayan activities."
