Italy, the land of art, is preparing to display all its beauties during the 1960 Itome Olympics to make them an unforgettable event for art lovers,

Italy's top artistic brains are already at work to map a worthy setting for the first Olympic Games ever to be held in the Eternal City. Special arrangements are being made to show Rome at its best to the hundreds of thousands expected to con- vene here from the far corners of the world.

Sports facilities already exisiting or under construction are generally re- cognised as being among the world's boat. Plans are being considered to increase hotel accommodation and funnel traffic to the Olympic sites by special routes to avoid the traffic-jammed streets of downtown Rome. But Italians feel this technical pre- paration is not enough. This is not "any" Olympiad. It is a historic occasion, the last jewel that had still been missing from the crown of the mother city of Christjan- ity and Western civilisation.
