Brazil's 1958 World Soccer Championship Team Will Largely Be Newcomers

The team which will represent Brazil in the forthcoming World Soccer Championship in Sweden in 1958 probably will be composed largely of newcomers to the top level of international competition.

This is the result of a new selection pattern that has emerged after the recent South American Championship Tournament in Lima. It chiefly stems from the Soccer Technicnt Council of the Brazilian Confederation of Sports. After seeing n team loaded with Brazilian stars and veteran selection players unexpectedly drop two games and thus the Championship, the Council decided a wholesale change was necessary.
