The report, which appeared on Sunday in the independent Egyptian newspaper Al Shal sald Hussein and Saul had agreed to rent Mafraq hal dis- cussed renting Aqaba, and said in return the United States Bonual would pay Jortlan subsidy.
Tho lawyer, Patrick Marrinan, has been called before the Bar Council for questioning on his activities, later this week. The Council, which polices lawyers activities in Britain, has copies of transcripts of the tapped calls.
Faces Barrage
Mr Macmillan faced a barrage of queries on wire- tapping in the House today but time run out during the question period before they came up for an oral answer. In a written reply, Mr Macmillan said he had agreed to meet the leader of the Opposition and the leader of the Liberal Party "to talk over certain aspects of the govern- ment's power to tap private telephone lines in cases in- volving national security and the detection of serious crime".
