By
"TOUCHER"
One major upset, one racord win and one exceptionally fine game formed the highlights of yesterday's opening games of the Colony Open Singles Lawn Bowls Championships.
The greatest upset of the day and the only one in the 15 matches played was the defeat of Hongkong's Empire Games representative and 1955 Singles Champion, Eric Liddell, who went down to H. Black of Hongkong Football Club by 11-21.

Howard Keel lowered his impressive six-foot-four into an easy chair in his suite at the Savoy Hotel, looked out.over the Thames and laughed.
