Egyptians File “CLASS WAR' Candidacy Forms REPORTED

Hundreds of Egyptians 'throughout the country filed candidacy petitions today in the formal opening of Egypt's first parlia- mentary election campaign since the army revolution of 1952.

Under a decree issued yesterday by President Gamal Abdel Nasser, candidates have ten days starting today to nominate themselves and pay their electoral deposit of £50 ($140) for the Na- tional Assembly elections on July 3.

Cairo newspapers halled the electoral race and called on the publle to back candidates "who will beat uphold the aims of Egypt's great revolution."

During the first four hours of the nomination process which began at 0000 GMT this morn- ing 104 citizens were reported to have presented their candl- docies for Cairo's 35 electoral distriots.
