THE NEW SEASON AND
CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE- -IT WILL BE SURREY
D YORKSHIRE AGAIN
AND
Says BRUCE DOOLAND
I would like to be able to suggest a real dark horse for the County Championship this year-Nottingham or Leicestershire or Hampshire, for instance but in all honesty I can't.
As I see the line-up the two best runners must be Surrey, who have held it five consecutive times now, and Yorkshire. I expect some lively cricket from Middle- sex, who now. have quite a few good youngsters coming on, and, if things would just "click" for the talent they have, some strong challenging cricket from Northampton- shire.
