The Directors of the Tung Wah Hospital were complimented and the generosity of the Hongkong public was similarly commended by His Excellency the Governor, Sir Alexander Grantham, this morning when he laid the foundation stone for two new wings of the hospital.
The ceremony, His Excellency said, marked the beginning of the last phase of a scheme which had been the care and concern of every Tung Wah Chairman and every Board of Directors for the last four or five years.
The new wings of the Hospital are being named after the Hon. B.C.K. Hawkins, Secretary for Chinese Affairs and Dr the Hon. K.C. Yeo, Director of Medical and Health Services,
