The captain of a cafe testified this morning that G. O. Jones was not the European who had discussion with five Chinese people in his cafe near Shell House on Tuesday, November 13, last year."
Jones, Manager of the Lautau Development Co. Ltd., is standing trial before Judge K. R. Macfee at the District Court on charges of fraudulent conversion and larceny of 47 gold bars, the ownership of which is claimed by Lo Yuk-ting, a businessman from Macao.

Mrs Ernst's Death: 5 Men On Trial
The story of how Mr and Mrs Fritz Ernst, of the Swiss Consulate, were attacked when their taxi' was overturned and set on fire at the height of the Kowloon riots last October was described by Mr W. A. Blair-Kerr, Senior Crown Counsel, when the trial of five men on a charge of murder of Mrs Ursula Margareta Ernst commenced before Mr Justice A. D. Scholes and a special jury at the Criminal Sessions this morning.
