European Cup Competition May Be Abandoned Due To International Situation

The European Cup competition from which so much was expected when it was inaugurated last year is, I understand, to be abandoned this season because of the international situation. It was almost inevitable, I suppose, with Honved (Hungary), CDNA (Bulgaria), Dynamo Bucharest (Rumania), Red Star (Yugoslavia) and Slovan Bratislava (Czechoslovakia) left in the running.
