Says I. M.

at heart will Everyone who has the good of Hongkong football welcome the fact that the HKFA has now given a clear indication that it is fully aware that something is radically wrong in our soccer circles, and more Impórtant still, that it is ready and willing to do something
about it.
Football folks have been shouting 'Shamateurism' and 'Gambling' from the housetops for a long time and it is satisfying to know that it has at last penetrated to the soccer sanctuary with sufficient strength to pro- voke the Football Association into positive action.

Softball Season Opens
Today
Minus The Traditional March Past Of Teams
By "TIME OUT"
The Hongkong Softball Association celebrate their official opening of the 1956/57 season at 3.00 p.m. this afternoon at their playing ground at King's Park when Softball Commissioner Don Robbins will pitch the traditional first ball".
Followers of the sport will be interested to know that the new Council has done away with the usual march-past of teams that marked past openings, and in its place scheduled an exhibition game between China and The Rest. Prior to his toss- ing the first ball, Commissioner Robbins will deliver a short speech, introduce the opposing managers and call 'Play Ball' to chalk up the opening chapter of a brand
new season.
