Market Futures Quiet

TURNOVERS FALL IN DULL TRADING BUYERS HESITANT

The share market tacked on a majority of gains this week as share prices rose slightly under the leadership of Blue Chips and Industrials.

On the week 13 shares are steady. 12 are higher and only four lower.

Conditions were very much quieter, however, and turnover dropped more than $1 million on the week from $131 to $2,166 million. Yesterday was a market holiday, but even a five-day week would, at this week's rate of business, have produced less than $3 million.
