SIDE GLANCES
FROM H.
KING WOOD
Sydney, Aug. 2.
Many Australians will be glad when the 1956 Olympic Games to be held in Melbourne in November, are over and the competitors and offi cials return to their respective countries.
Ever since Australia was given the task of promoting the Games, there have been snarls, protests and complaints from many parts of the world.
These were stilled for a time following the visit of the president of the international committee, Mr Avery Brundage, who made a thorough inspection, and expressed satisfaction at what had been achieved.
