Washington, May 2.

Marine Corps Commandant General Randolph M. Pate has started a pro- gramme to prevent ragging or any other irregularities in the Marine's recruit camp programme according to his report to Congressmen.

His action was part of a new system adopted since the drowning of six Marines at Parris Island in April when a sergeant under the influence of vodka led his men at night into dangerous waters.

The report on ragging of re- crulla is a separate matter frem the march

which the six drowned, but ins come to light as the public looked into general cditionN at the Marine comp since the drowning tragedy.
