15 ISSUES TACK ON

$30.6 MILLION

IN LAST FORTNIGHT

Buyers came back to the Hongkong Stock Exchange before and after the Easter holidays and a number of shares made good rises.

The small Easter "boom" added a total of about $30.6 million to the market values of 15 issues listed in the adjoining panel.

Particularly pleasing was the sharp merense recorded in the group which lost quite Uulity heavily in the lethangle condi- tions in the curlier part of last month,

eight daya which included three half days was $5.5 million. This is not excitingly large, but the weekly rate of $3.3 million is a lot better than the $1.60 million recorded in the week, Mas, 10-22.

Attractive Prices

Most of the rises wore record- ed in the week before Easter.

In the three trading daya since the holidinys (including two hif days), apart from Tuesday's comparatively good showing the market has been fairly quiet and stendy.

The standard contract closed 30 to 45 points higher with no sales reported.
