Step Up For Under Twenty-Threes
By W. CAPEL KIRBY
Who plays for England "B" against Scotland "B" at Dundee on February 297
I gather promotion for our bright under-23s is the line the selectors will take when they pick the team.
This could mean forward steps for Reg Matthews (Coventry) Maurice Nor- man (Spurs). Duncan Edwards, David Pegg (Manchester United), Vic Groves (Arsenal) and John Atyeo (Bristol Rovers).
If I have loft out centre-half |"Get in line for promotion and doesn't Trevor Smith, of Birmingham.I'll be back." But it It's only because Joe Kennedy mean his doparture from Maine is playing so wall for West Road is inuminent, Bromwich Just mrw.
Also due for discussion In London is the selection of the FA party to tour South Africa next summer.
We need to have fairly strong South Africa conceded only one goal in winning five recent Soccer Tests in Australia. Moreover, it was the only Springbole touring teum of any description ever to return unbeaten.

WAR AND PEACE PUTS AUDREY HEPBURN IN HOT WATER
By CECIL WILSON
Our tuo Audrey Hepburn is in hot water with the Italian film actors. They single her out as one of the foreigners who are stealing the plum parts in their pictures and receiving top salaries for their pains.
Miss Hopburn has, admittedly, just been paid £142,000 for playing in the Italian-American film of "War and Peace." But it is the only flim she has made.. there except "Roman Holiday," which was, in any case, an all-American production."
There was no uprising of American actors over that one. Nor was there when Alec Guin- posa and (see below) Trevor Howard went to Hollywood inst year. Nor in there likely to be when Nigel Patricic follows the trail next month.
Before these insular Italians complain any mero to their Government about the foreign invasion Ict them recall just a few foreign stars who have boen royally welcomed in British studios.
Rossano Brazzi, for example, who made "Loser Take All" for Korda last year, And Anno Maria Sandri, who made "The Black Tent" for Rank.
Also the French stars Odile Versols ("Young Lovers" and "To Paris with Love"), Brigitte Bardot ("Doctor at Sea"), and Nicole Maurey ("The Constant Husband").
You don't hear Dirk Bogarde and Diana Dors crying "Keep out!" Neither should you. The more the merrier, I 637-Go long as they keep the gates open ut both ends.
