DEVISED TO IMPROVE SAFETY

New regulations affecting learner motor drivers and their instructors are announced in today's Government Gazette and will come into force on April 1.

From this date driving instructors will be required to have held a valid driving licence for not less than three years, to have seeking the confidence of passed a Police test as to their fitness to give driving lessons and possess written permission from the Commissioner of Police to instruct.
