All shops in Nicosia sold out of chicken- wire today in the aftermath of a military order declaring bars and cabarets out of bounds until windows are covered with · wire screening.

Long queues of bar owners, hotel, keepers and cabaret proprietors stood in front of shops as they rushed to get the wire and "in bounds" notices.

The order was issued yester-{ day by the Military Polico and the Provost Marshal of the Cyprus District. It declared all places of entertainment out of
