Big
Soccer News-Spain Wants A Return Match
In Madrid
By ARCHIE QUICK
The big news arising from the England-Spain International at Wembley is that the Spaniards want a return match in Madrid. The Secretary of their Foot- ball Association proposed a dalo next May but that is impossible na England have touring commitments in Germany and Scandinavia. It is likely, however, that Spain will be put down as possible opponents in May, 1957.
That England won at Wembley 4-1 was because the players adhered to coach Walter Winterbottom's instructions on defence. With Billy Wright as the king pin around which the entire scheme evolved the home halfbacks and the inside forwards, too, shuffled back on their goal.

Pape, us a result of his fine win in the gruelling cross-coun- try event last Saturday, is a red- hot favourite to take the 10-mille event, as he is considered an even more outstanding athlete on the road, the Marathon being his specialty.
Pie Joyce anowcomer to the Colony, was prominent in the

a real struggle.
Chan King-yin, a dangerous opponent when it comes to road racing, should be a strong chal- lenger if he is fit.
