Clean Up International Soccer; Referees Must Get Tough
Says DON REVIE
Blg time Soccer needs a clean-up.
I am sure the
public are ex fed up as the players with these tempéra- mental outbursts in international matches.
The only solution seems to be for the referees to get tough. There was a time when international Soccer was a showpiece where everyone tried to be a gentleman.
But in recent years, we have had the "Baille of Berne"; the so-called "footbraw)" match al r- Wrexhian; sheet lugg.ng cidents in Madrid, and boos for the continentals when they bring on substitutes.

CHANGES IN RUGGER VENUES
"A"
It Will Be A Battle Royal Between Club

Says “PAK
LO"
Once again there have been a few changes in this afternoon's fix- tures and venues. The two games originally scheduled for Sookunpoo, i.e. the 27 Brigade versus RAF Mainland, and the RAF Island versus 48 Brigade have been switched to the Army ground in Boundary Street with their respective starting times now being 2.30 p.m. and 3.45 p.m.
The Gunners versus Police game has been cancelled until a future date, but the H.K. Signals Regt. has stepped into the breach, and the match will take place as arranged at the Police ground in Boundary Street at 3.00 p.m.
The Gunners had to cancel their fixture, according to in- formation received. because this afternoon some of their XV are taking part in a cross enuntry race. If such is indeed the case

JOE'S PROBLEMS

By the way. all of Joca troubles
are culled from last wook's games, and are by no means uncommon errors,
(1) Joe has the ball and is going well, when he is graspedi by an opponent so that his arms are pinned to his eldes, and he can do little but struggle. Now Joe is not the man to remain quiet in spot like this and he struggles as hard as he can to free himself, but before long the referee blows his whistle and awards a penalty against Joe's fifteen.
Why? Joe is moving upfeld (2) when the opponents' full back kicks upfeld. Joe goes to gather the bail, but the ball is in the and run and Joe is dazzled, the ball hits him on the chest and bounces in the direction of
