This Carpet Enjoys Punishment
A demonstration was held recently in London of "Hardura - loop"--a new type of carpet claimed to be resistant to fire, mildew, moths and beetles. The carpet ly made of Ardli and wool, or Ardit and viscose rayon, according to grade, and has a rot-proof backing of plastic. Manufacturers say it will give three times the wear of a normal cut pile carpet. ON EXCHANGE OF ENVOYS
By Ian Fraser
Bonn, Dec. 7. Dr Heinrich von Brentano, the West Geman Foreign Minister, said today that West Germany would break off diplomatic relations with any country which exchanged ambassadors with the Com- munist East German republic.
If any of the Soviet satellite states, all of which have ambassadors in East Berlin, propose diplomatic relations with West Germany, West Germany will refuse, he said.
