Dodgers Take A 3-2 Lead In The World Series
By LEO H. PETERSEN
Brooklyn, Oct. 2.
Dashing Duke Snider slammed his way into a World Series class with the immortal Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig today when he powered a pair of home runs which led the Brooklyn Dodgers to a 5-3 win over the New York Yankees.
Snider's two wallons over the right field fence gave him a total of four in this series-matching the one-classic mark of Ruth and Gehrig-and provided the spark for a driving Dodger team which roared on back to capture its third straight game and take a 3-2 game lead in search of its first World Series triumph.
