Shirley Strickland of Australia bettered the world's 100 Metres record for women when she clocked 11.3 seconds at the International Youth Games here today. This was one-tenth of a second faster than the record of 11.4 seconds set by her countrywoman, Marjorie Jackson, in 1952.
